‏اثربخشی قدرت های مختلف نور قرمز سطح پایین در کنترل نزدیک بینی کودکان‏

The article, written by Wen Zhou et al. in the journal Ophthalmology, compares the efficacy and safety of low-intensity red light (LRL) in controlling myopia progression at three different powers (0.37 mW, 0.60 mW, and 1.20 mW). The study included ۲۰۰ children aged 6 to 15 years with myopia and astigmatism.

Participants were randomly assigned to intervention or control groups, with the intervention groups receiving LRL therapy in addition to wearing single-vision spectacles (SVS). The main outcome measures were changes in spherical equivalent (SE), axial length (AL), and subfoveal choroidal thickness (SFCT).

After 6 months, the SE progression in the intervention groups at all three power levels was significantly lower than the control group, and the changes in AL and SFCT were also significantly smaller in the intervention groups.

No adverse events were observed. The study concludes that LRL effectively controlled myopia progression at all three power levels, and while there were no significant power differences, there was a potential trend suggesting higher power may be more effective. Further research with larger samples and longer follow-ups is needed for optimal power determination.
