نوروبلاستومای فراموش شده

A 5-year-old child with neglected and untreated metastatic neuroblastoma was referred to a clinic. The child had severe proptosis, severe chemosis, exposure keratopathy, corneal ulcers, limited extraocular movements, and decreased visual acuity. Cerebrospinal fluid analysis showed neuroblastoma cells. The child underwent orbital decompression surgery and intrathecal chemotherapy. The treatment resulted in a remarkable response, with the proptosis subsiding and extraocular movements returning to normal. Corneal scarring remains, but there has been improvement in visual acuity.
